appearances

Pre-Canon:
Checkmate, chapters killer's anthem 5, killer's anthem 6, a solitary throne 1, a solitary throne 4, a solitary throne 8; eichi and leo make the choice to become friends, and because eichi doesn't know how to actually have friends without screwing it all up with his single-minded determination to accomplish his goals, this goes poorly. ritsu specifically is simply saved from sunsickness by izumi and arashi, owes them a favor, and makes good on it by participating in a special checkmate live—though, despite his dislike-of-people nature, he does end up sticking around knights... they were essentially the first people not to treat him any differently despite who his older brother was, when they found out.
Spring:
Main Story - Part 1 (DDD) - Ensemble, chapters 100, 101, 114; knights kidnaps makoto yuuki (or, more accurately, izumi sena does, and everyone except tsukasa is in on it), and ritsu drops some hints about his whereabouts to subaru in order to get him gone, so that knights can have an easy time winning (as if they're late to the battle live, or have too few people performing, they'll be disqualified). unfortunately, this doesn't work out, and between knights' squabbling and ritsu's sunsickness, they end up losing to the trickstar members present.
Sweets Patisserie, chapters knights 3, knights 4, epilogue; knights makes desserts for a sweet-making competition held at the school. they'll be sold at the upcoming school festival... ritsu's looks absolutely terrible, but tastes pretty good, and even takes the grand prize.
The Long Pajama Dream, all chapters; ritsu and mao go with koga, arashi, and mika to check out bedding and pajamas. ritsu tries sleeping in one of the display beds, but gets pulled out before there's any trouble... he buys a very soft (rather expensive) pillow to sleep with anywhere.
Devils (not translated)
Book Fair (not translated)
Band Ensemble, chapters prologue 1 & 2, the eve 4, the eve 6 - epilogue; ritsu, terrified that mao's forgetting too much (and that his own existence isn't important enough to mao either, that he'd simply be the same mao with or without meeting ritsu), lashes out one day. he spends the rest of the time before the school festival avoiding mao, going so far as to attend classes when he isn't around or at night and taking his quizzes in a separate room; the next time they talk is just before the festival eve, after mao and the transfer student hear his piano playing and go to investigate. ritsu'd been thinking to himself about his relationship with mao, with the ordinary world in general, frustrated that his usual escapism tactic - playing the piano - wasn't getting rid of the pain in his heart. on stage at the festival eve, ritsu's forced onstage and rei gives him some pertinent advice ritsu claims not to understand, but his and mao's relationship is tenuously restored... or at least, they're back on talking terms.
Butler Cafe, chapters butler coffee 6; ritsu and arashi visit undead to retrieve the "specialty" ritsu made that won the contest. the design they gave them wasn't the final one, so they came to trade it, basically. when asked why, arashi mentioned knights could've taken advantage of the situation, but they were trying to be more fair to others.
Ballet, chapters principal 3 - 5 (in the room for 6 though, w/the rest of knights), principal 8 & epilogue; knights and ra*bits do a joint ballet performance together. when ritsu's sleepy, he just drags people down to cuddle and bites them if they're too noisy.
Summer:
Duel, chapters ;
Comic World, chapters 6 - epilogue; ritsu gets caught in the typhoon but is rescued by anzu and stays with kuro, keito, kanata, and her in the karate dojo. when kuro leaves to take her home, keito introduces ritsu and kanata to ansters, a parody manga using the likeliness of yumenosaki idols. kei-chan, reading manga and learning to like it for mao, and "why am i bratty delinquent, i should be a prince or princess role so i can live happily forever with maakun".
Test of Courage, chapters 2wink - 4, epilogue; he just spooks them and makes fun of sena. this is an earlier story, so sena's weird about being called "secchan," but ritsu's just like "why not call you it we're the same age so"

Voice Actor Comment (Daiki Yamashita):
"Each character has their own very unique personality, and I was very conscious of trying to draw out his charming points as best as I could during the recording sessions. During daytime, he always appears lethargic, not wanting to have anything to do with other people, and somewhat distant, but I wonder if it's not simply because he doesn't quite understand interpersonal communication, and maybe he's bewildered, not knowing what he should do. Thus, I would be very happy if the players would look beyond his aloofness and notice the straightforwardness and childishness hidden inside. He's very honest about his feelings, and I mean this in a good way, so I hope you will regard him from the point of view of an adult."
