🌙 What does family mean to you and who do you consider a part of your family?

Family is... people who won't leave your side; people who will fight for you and that you'd fight for, too. Kill for, even. As for who's part of that... Mmmm, Maakun, of course ♥ Ah, and Knights. I guess there's Corgi, too... And Anija, when he's not being so annoying. They're all important to me—don't tell Anija that though, okay? He'll get all weepy and weird.

🌙 How important is loyalty to you? What does it take to earn your loyalty? What extents are you willing to go through to maintain loyalty, and respect the loyalty others might have invested in you?

Heheh... Loyalty is one of the trademarks of a knight, isn't it? Guess I'm not really one, but I am in a unit that styles itself after 'em... Close enough. Mmm... Loyalty's not just somethin' you go around givin' everyone and anyone, so I guess we'd have to go through somethin' together, or someone'd have to prove to me they can be trusted, I guess...? Ahhh, but if a cause is good enough, I can throw myself behind it, sure. As for the rest of that... Look, as long as you got my back, I got yours. Easy, right?

🌙 What is your favorite diversion? Hobbies, indulgences, vices? Would you put off important things for that diversion, or would you be more strict about how you spend your time and/or money?

...I like playing the piano and baking sweets. Piano's especially good for clearin' my mind... I feel like I can just make all my worries disappear between me and the keys. It's easier to do when people aren't getting on me about things too, so I usually wait 'til night falls if I can. Ahh, sometimes I just can't, though...

🌙 An oni of the Shuten Clan has gone completely berserk, and is going on a violent rampage through the city. You can't stop him, but you CAN lead him elsewhere, but you only have two choices: a road by a discotheque with a large crowd in front, or the nearby park that you do not know is unoccupied, and may have children present. What do you choose, and why?

Park. Even if it's got kids in it, they're quick and good hiders. I'd just make sure he didn't see 'em, or if he did, he'd get back to payin' attention to me. Heheheh... I'm a pretty good provocateur, after all.

POWERS & ABILITIES: Ritsu's a fairly ordinary person, being human (even if he refers to himself and his family as "vampires"—they just have the disposition of them and Ritsu especially has the constitution of one), but here's his skills list anyway:

• Band Ensemble; being a student in the idol course at such a prestigious academy like Yumenosaki means Ritsu, despite being a chronic procrastinator and master of ensuring he uses as little effort as possible, is really good at things like singing and dancing. He's also an expert at playing piano, having started playing when he was younger in sessions with his older brother and continuing it due to the comfort it gave him. Settling his hands on the keys calms his heart, his mind, his anxieties... or it usually does.

• Duel; while he might look sleepy, unassuming, and act a lot like a spoiled child - and yes, he's most of that - Ritsu's also proven himself to be incredibly observant of others. He reads people well, even if he sometimes lets his mind catch up with him and overthinks things into a self-centered oblivion, or he makes decisions for other people thinking it would just be best for the both of them... He's clever and intelligent as well, having no issue with keeping his grades up despite his more truant-like behavior of taking naps in class, and he's considered Knights' strategist - the one who knows the most about each of them, who can dictate their moves and make plans to maximize their strengths.

• Sweets Patisserie; outside of music and idol activities, Ritsu's also a surprisingly good cook, and a particularly excellent baker - he likes sweet things, this was only natural. While his visuals could use some work (he loves making things look as grotesque and ghoulish as possible, though he can decorate them normally as well), they're good enough to win school-wide competitions and even become the school's specialty, as is what happened during the school festival! As long as you close your eyes, it tastes absolutely amazing.

• Dark Night Halloween; Ritsu claims to be able to smell the flavor of people's blood; this is usually dependent on their diet and how much energy they use. For example, he tells the transfer student that if she works too hard, her blood will get a bad taste; he comments on Hajime's blood smelling like it doesn't have a taste too due to his garbage eating habits, after which Hajime mentions he'd been eating fried bean sprouts. He's also capable of falling asleep just about anywhere, and has a surprising amount of strength, enough to hold Tsukasa down to use as a blanket and to unbalance Arashi.

• Starlight Festival; In Starfes, he makes accessories - bracelets - for all of Knights; in Sunflower Live, Mao mentions that Ritsu's just good at doing that sort of thing in general, recounting a time when Ritsu made him a necklace. Mao'd been intending on giving the sea glass to him to see if there was anything he could do with it, and Ritsu says in Starfes he's able to get accessory-making materials on the cheap and easy, so it's likely he's been at this a while.

SUITABILITY: Ensemble Stars!, despite being what looks to be your run-of-the-mill idol game on the surface, deals with a myriad of topics from child neglect, religious cults, the pressures and dark side of the idol industry, capitalism, and much, much more. On Ritsu's side of things, he's stated without missing a beat that he'd murder anyone who hurt someone important to him (and added to another character that he'd do the same for him, too), and his older brother was more or less essentially treated as the next coming of Jesus by his cult-like family—some of which aren't even directly related to them, but which are followers anyway. This doesn't even get into the discussions and trauma that surrounds the year he had to repeat, the cenotaph that stands in Yumenosaki Academy as a memorial to idols who took their own life due to not being able to achieve their dreams, or Knights' own troubles that continued into his present day.

Ritsu's extremely loyal to those who've earned it from him, and he's not afraid of threatening some pretty harsh punishments—at least, when he's mad, like in Horror Night Halloween when he threatens to stab Mao's legs if he didn't leave him alone already (in the "if you want to stay so badly I'll give you a reason to" way)—just prior to that, he'd been throwing bottles and junk at him to try and get him to go. Also, he has a shuten doji card (for legal reasons this is a joke).

○ tamamo clan

He's a free-spirited, my-pace kind of guy, and the type of person who prefers to find a way to get spoiled and slack off than work hard... not to say he won't, especially when he needs to or feels like it (and, in more recent months, because he wants to perform with Knights and keep up with Mao's pace), but much like a cat—resting and relaxing are his favorite activities, right outside of playing piano. Knights is an idol unit whose main selling point is fanservice, too, so he's not unfamiliar with having to charm strangers.

Ritsu is! actually! the strategist of Knights. While he doesn't have a kink for knowing everything like a certain magician in his year (for legal reasons this is a joke), he's extremely observant and picks up information very quickly. While he's not so much of a shadow or ghost as he was in his (repeated) first year, he can definitely fall back on those traits or pretend to be asleep to get anything needs.

Knights are historically holders of justice and order, and there's something a little chivalrous and orderly about the way they conduct things within their unit—judgments to get rid of poison in their unit, duels to "fight" fairly on stage, and so on and so forth. Ritsu, like the rest of his unit, is still fairly individualistic and independent—though after crowning a new king (and leader) in Tsukasa Suou during Repaymentfes... Well, Tsukasa's a very justice-orientated person, and Ritsu'll help him achieve his goals while making sure he doesn't go too far off the rails.
