Ritsuuuu~ My dear bunny brother, how are you? Are you eating well? Are you feeling better? Your changes haven't caused any discomfort to your health or lifestyle, have they . . . ? If so, let Onii-chan know posthaste and he'll soothe your troubles immediately! Whether you need a massage, or someone to cuddle-wuddle with, or someone to hand-feed you, your Onii-chan will do a~nything for you . . . ♪

( his voice falls silent, for the moment. this is all setting aside... how he feels about ritsu changing, which feels like a personal failure on rei's part, somehow, that he failed to stop this from happening. if anything, it makes him more pressed to do more for ritsu than before— maybe he should leave messages more often? he'd resolved on once a week supplemented by plenty of visits (to allow ritsu freedom while still indicating his brother was always here!! supporting him!!!), but maybe this is too neglectful...? )

And, as an aside, mmm . . . I know Ritsu-Witsu's a liiiitle bit shy when it comes to playing with Onii-chan, but why don't you make cozy in my home for a sleepover sometime in the next week? Yako-chan will be present, I'm sure, so you can have a playdate with her ♪ Of course, Onii-chan will be there too, but he'll be a good Onii-chan and support Ritsu and his cute friends from afar while the two of you are playing ♪ How does that sound?

( "sometime in the next week" is an odd way to put it, and it's perhaps a little obvious after looking at the calendar that he's likely going to narrow down the date to the 17th— the next full moon. last month's full moon didn't see any issues on rei's part, but now that he knows how it can be for some people . . . he'd rather ritsu be somewhere safe with him, and his home would have to do. )

well, seeing yako would be nice - but he hasn't really been feeling being sociable, despite not wanting to be alone (being something genuinely cat-like now, sitting in rooms with people until noticed and then leaving immediately). he wouldn't want to be too prickly at her, but telling ... rei that would give him Ideas, and he'd like to avoid that for the moment.

he sort of means to actually reply - just tell him no, stay away, get lost, things of that nature - he doesn't though, settling to "do it later" because he doesn't feel like dealing with it then, and then he just forgets to. ]

Ritsu...! I hadn’t wanted to push the matter, since it seems you’ve been eager to spend time with your own friends, and Onii-chan is quite happy his little Ritsu’s been so sociable. However... since today is the last day of festivities, have you given thought to my suggestion we attend the event together? You won’t have to message me frequently, and I’m certain it would strengthen our brotherly bond in a manner so admirable I’m certain even the brothers Gemini would be envious.

( this is both a genuine offer, since he does want to spend time with ritsu, and also... to quell his constant worry about if everything is okay with ritsu during the festival, especially given the less child-friendly activities. )

( this bond is . . . an odd thing, for certain, but it makes him both giddy and relieved to have such tangible connection to ritsu, as well as better certainty that he's safe. it is, also, a little bit nerve-wracking, still, to have the depths of his heart potentially sliced up and served up when even rei doesn't understand himself so well, but . . . if it's the price he has to pay, then so be it. )

Please let me know how you've been doing regardless. Nothing can replace the joy of hearing my little brother's voice, surely woven from the notes of humming angels . . . ♪

[ It's their first full moon since they've Bonded, and since moving into the same house -- and while Yako isn't the sort to put any sort of significance on that for its own sake, this is also the first full moon since Ritsu's lost the company of his brother and friends. She can feel his attention focused on ... something early on in the evening, and she'll push past her own feeling of being drained to step lightly down to the cellar, carrying a bowl of what a witch at the Coven swore were foolproof Puca treats -- really just a rock-hard mix of oats, carrots, and other grains packed tight into cookie-sized pellets and baked, perfect for gnawing on. ]

Ritsu ...? [ She calls softly from the entrance of the cellar, squinting at the interior. It doesn't feel like he wants her to be away from him, but that doesn't necessarily tell her a lot about what state of mind he is in. ]

[ He's had, as of late, the urge to dig - though the last time he got to digging, it put him a mess of trouble - and so, after spending a few days casually checking out the cellar, he'd set upon it. The area is nice and dark, the stone easy to overturn, and Nel is likely to be cross with him -

but that's okay. His ears stay perked listening for danger as he works, instinct that is his but isn't, at the same time, paying more attention than ready alertness, and he feels her approaching before he hears her. It's impossible not to; their Bond ensures that, and a mix of fondness and relief slips through it. When she calls for his name, he at first responds only with a distracted hum - from the far corner of the cellar, and his head slowly lifts from the decently deep hole he's already made there.

His ears wiggle, his one golden eye glimmering, and he pulls himself out a little better. ]

Ya-ko-cha~n~♪ [ He grins at her, propping his chin in his hands. ] Yo. What brings you to this part of the neighborhood, huh~?

[ Like she doesn't live here now, or something - he's only teasing, grin curving into a more natural smile. ]
